The Glen Lake Association’s Annual Meeting is held in August. This year’s meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Glen Lake Community School, 3375 W. Burdickville Road, Maple City.
The gathering will start with three optional breakout sessions followed by the annual meeting at 11 a.m.
Breakout sessions are:
The new Glen Lake Association website
Come learn about how to maneuver through the new website, how to utilize the site to pay your annual dues or make a contribution, use the new online member directory, change your information, view community calendars and the current GLA newsletter and learn how to register for upcoming events. An “easy steps” information card will be available on how to understand the site for everyone in attendance at the annual meeting.
Swimmer’s Itch Update
Come and learn about the latest findings about swimmer’s itch control on Glen Lake. Watershed Biologist Rob Karner will touch on various topics in this session that include current itch research, statewide initiatives, new partner’s that are active in reducing swimmer’s itch, topical creams, status of neighboring lakes, funding needs, and more. This session will be 45 minutes long and will be a balance of information sharing and answering questions from the audience.
Q&As with the sheriff
The county sheriff will be on hand to answer your questions about legal issues around the lake.
Lunch will be provided for all attendees and we’ll also have free tree seedlings available to help replace our trees decimated by the August 2015 storm. Please bring a friend, particularly someone who has never attended a meeting.
