The Nomination Committee selects and nominates each year, one or more candidates for each of the vacancies on the Board of Directors (12). The committee selects candidates based on gender, location in the watershed, and skills that would be brought to the board. Any member may have his or her name placed on the ballot as a candidate for the office of a director for a regular three year term or to fill an unexpired term by written petition for a candidate not nominated by the Nomination Committee to be placed on the ballot which specifies the term sought and must be filed with and received by the Secretary by July 15 prior to the Annual Meeting. The ballot and instructions are mailed to each member entitled to vote along with the notice of the meeting and a form of proxy. No director may serve more than two consecutive terms (6 years). They can be eligible to serve two more terms after an interval of three years.
